Salient Achievements

The Board passed ordinances that are currently
being implemented in the Malampaya Sound particularly the use
of fishing methods and gears that resulted in the community’s
vigilance in protecting their resources.

Patrolling and marine enforcement were undertaken
with counterpart support from the WWF-Philippines.

Expansion in the collection of fees was studied
by the TWG in collaboration with the LGU as part of the implementation
of the Municipal Fishery Ordinance.
