Flora

1522 species of flowering plants in 649 genera and 38 families, estimated plant endemism 15-20%, remarkable high record compared to other parts of the country 5-8%, endemic genus, Embolanthera reported found in the island.

Fauna

232 species of wildlife accounts for 23% of the thousand species of wildlife found in the country. Among the endemic animals are the Palawan bear cat, Balabac mouse deer, Calamian deer, flying squirrel, Palawan peacock pheasant, the blue-paradise flycatcher, Palawan flowerpecker, Palawan Tit, Palawan leafbird, Palawan bulbul, falcated ground babbler, white-vented shama, Palawan hornbill, ashy headed babbler, Palawan striped babler and the melodius babler.
