Planning and Technical Services
Department
is the Technical Arm of the PCSD. The department maintains
a number of staff that are expert on various fields ( forestry,
marine, agriculture and mining) , that will aid PCSDS in the
analysis and technical evaluation of programs and approaches
in carrying out its mandate - the implementation of R.A. 7611
(SEP Law). |

Project Operations and Implementation
Department
Oversees the evaluation of various projects and undertakings
in the province of Palawan, they are mainly responsible for
the issuances of the SEP Clearances and Accreditations. These
include the issuances of chainsaw registration,live fish accreditation,gravel
and sand projects, major infrastructure road projects and
other special use permits. |

Legal and Policy Department
The department provides legal assistance to PCSD.LGU and other
government entities in the implementation of the SEP law.
It is also task in filling out cases for offenders against
(R.A. 7611) - the SEP Law. It is also responsible in the formulation
of policy guidelines for recommendation to the Council. |

External Affairs Department
The External Affairs is responsbile for the promotion and
marketing of investment packages for funding, networking with
national and international institutions/organizations. It
is also task in strenghtening linkages with national government
agencies and other institutions. |

Finance and Administrative
Department
The Administrative Department is responsible in providing
support services to the various departments in the organization,
while the Finance Division is running the financial operation
of the organization. |

Protected Areas
The Calauit Game Preserve and Wildlife Sanctuary, Puerto Princesa
Subterranean River National Park, Ursula Island Game Refuge
and Bird Sanctuary, El Nido - Taytay Managed Resource Protected
Area, Tubbataha Reefs National Marine Park, Palawan Flora,
Fauna and Watershed Reserve. These are the list of Protected
Areas which PCSD had actively participated in the management
plan and had given its technical expertise in support of its
operation.

Palawan Tropical Forestry Protection
Programme
A special programme of the Palawan Council for Sustainable
Development with funding support from the European Union,it
is aimed at helping in the conservation of Palawan's forests
with emphasis on catchment-based community planning and management
through a sustainable development strategy.

Palawan Sustainable Development
Training Institute
Operated and managed by the PCSDS, it serves as a venue for
sharing experiences and developing effective information,education
and social mobilization for the local government units, government
agencies, non-government organizations, people's organizations,
private sector and people in the community for the promotion
of sustainable development and environmental conservation.
It offers modern facilities for conferences, trainings and
seminars as well.
