Management Offices
The Environmental Education and Extension Division (EEED) in 2004 was engaged in the:
- airing of 31 hours of radio program over DWRM and Radyo Ng
Bayan Palawan covering various topics related to SEP implementation
and PCSDS projects;
- production and distribution to intended beneficiaries of multi-media
environmental materials consisting of about 4,000 brochures and
other assorted IEC materials on SEP Law and its implementing rules
and regulations, PCSD Admin Order Nos. 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, RA 9175
and RA 9072;
- production and distribution of 500 Environmental Education Manual
for Teachers;
- IEC program with the students of the Roxas National Comprehensive
High School (RNCHS) in partnership with the PEACE Corps. volunteer
(about 45 students were organized to support environmental education
activities);
- distribution of 45 news items to various local media entities;
- produced 175 minutes of radio plugs aired over Radyo Natin stations
in Narra, Taytay, Quezon and Bataraza;
- lay-out and publication of the 1st to 6th issues of the Balinsasayaw
newsletter and reproduced 2000 copies for distribution to various
clients;
- facilitated the documentation of the Environmental Education
Trainers Refresher Course and Planning Workshop;
- institutional strengthening and networking with agencies
and other institutions by acting as resource person during
interviews over local radio stations on various topics concerning
PCSD issuances and pronouncements, coordinating with media groups
for the conduct of media tour, providing local media with regular
PCSD/S updates/information;
- maintaining regular links with local radio stations;
- tapping MOWELFUND Film Institute for possible partnership in
the future;
- providing the over-all supervision and management of the PSDTI;
- various community IECs on SEP;
- conduct of trainings to capacitate the staff and partners.
