The staff of the Project Development Division (PDD) assisted the Local Government of Busuanga in the preparation of the concept proposal on Calauit Sustainable Development Project and submitted the same to the European Union and other funding institutions and organizations for a grant. Assistance was provided in the preparation of a proposal to secure funds for the development of the Halsey-Burabod areas. A proposal for a model agricultural development enterprise within the RVM Sustainable Development Center in collaboration with the PIADPO Multi-Purpose Cooperative was conceptualized for PTFPP funding.

To assess the impact of SEP in the province, the staff prepared the Economic and Environmental Summit Proposal in collaboration with the staff of the Presidential Assistant for Regional Development- MIMAROPA. Detailed activities including funding for the big event was finalized. Similarly, a positive response on the proposal for the publication and production of the State of Palawan’s Environment was received from UNESCO. The document was the main input to the summit. In addition, investment profiles/packages were prepared and formulated to support the re-focusing of PCSDS and in response to the President’s 10 point agenda. The investment profiling and packaging focused on tourism, renewable energy, wastes management and livelihood options.

The division also spearheaded and facilitated the preparation of the 2004 detailed operational plan to guide PCSDS in accomplishing its targets for the year, consolidated the indicative plans of the office from 2005 to 2007 for submission to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), and prepared the necessary documents required by DBM, Congress and Senate to support the proposed budget for Calendar Year 2005.
