C2 Quiz (the Climate Challenge 2)

Western Philippines University (WPU). “It was indeed a cardiac finish but ends well with PSU still on top” says Leo Palao, coach of the team. Seminario de San Jose, third placer, which started slow and last in the first-easy round fought well in catching up during the difficult round but the effort fell short and ended third in the brains-race on“Climate Change” .
Being the winning institution, the PSU will also receive P5,000.00. WPU Team placing second gets P10,000.00 and 3,000 for the school and Seminario de San Jose Team takes 5,000.00 and 2,000 for the university. All the other non-winning contenders gets P1,000.00 each as consolation prize.
Awarding of the Cash Prizes is scheduled on March 3, at AA Plaza Hotel, in time for the closing ceremonies of the Climate Change Summit.
The C² Quiz is the second time of its kind in Palawan. This is organized by the PCSD, the Tagbalay Foundation, Conservation Internationale and the City Government of Puerto Princesa. The Contest was held at the Audio Visual hall of WPU in Sta. Monica on Feb. 24, 2010.
The C² Quiz served as the kick-off event of the upcoming Climate Change Summit on March 2-3, 2010. The Summit aims at taking stock and promoting common understanding of Palawan’s rich cultural and biological diversity and determine entry points for the next agenda that Palawan will take in dealing with climate change
