"Bugto is a thin-walled, crawling or climbing spineless bamboo usually reaching a height of 12 m or more and a diameter of 7 cm. The clumps are open, loose and unarmed. This species is endemic to Palawan and found in secondary forests or newly opened gaps of primary forests. This is a newly-described species of bamboo from Palawan and is rather aggressive and fast growing."
