"Palawan begonia is an erect ground herb. The leaves are short-petioled, membranaceous, inequilateral, broad oblongovate measuring 12 cm long and 6 cm wide. Its color is dark green with pale gray veins-while the margins faintly lobes and with pointed tip.It is endemic in northern Palawan and grows on damp soil.

There are more than seven species of Begonia recorded in Palawan. Most of them are endemic and show varied leaf shapes, colors and designs. They are highly ornamental."
