"Tree ferns grow up to 7 m tall and the trunk up to 20 cm in diameter. The texture is rough and covered with oval leaf scars. Leaves are crowded at the terminal of the trunk, spreading, bipinnate, to 2.5 m long, with stout, spiny leaf stalk.

At least five species of Cyathea are recorded in Palawan; two of which are endemic, C. caudate and C. ferruginea. All species are of ornamental value."
