RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENTS ISSUED BY THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FROM 16 AUGUST 1998 TO 15 NOVEMBER 1998

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 7611, otherwise known as the Strategic Environmental Plan (SEP) for Palawan Act, took effect on 19 June 1992. Section 16 of said Act provides that the governance, implementation and policy direction of the SEP shall be exercised by the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD) under the Office of the President;

WHEREAS, Section 20 of the Rules and Regulations Implementing the SEP Act, Council has the power to approve the organizational structure, staffing pattern, salary structure and plantilla and to appoint the personnel of the PCSD;

WHEREAS, in the exigency of the service and pursuant to Section 34(7) of the Rules, the Executive Director, upon the recommendation of the PCSDS Selection and Promotions Board, hired the following staff from August 16 to November 15, 1998.

WHEREAS, the Executive Director submitted to the Council the above list for confirmation pursuant to Section 20 of the Rules;

WHEREFORE, upon motion by Gov. Salvador P. Socrates duly seconded by the members present, be it:

RESOLVED, as it is hereby RESOLVED, to confirm, as it is hereby confirmed, the hiring of Canoza, Dela Torre, Donaire, Fernandez, Marin, Pulga and Skinner from the period they were respectively hired until December 31, 1998.

APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of November 1998.
