"A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE WESTERN COMMAND TO ASSIGN AFP PERSONNEL IN CALAUIT GAME PRESERVE AND WILDLIFE SANCTUARY "

WHEREAS,in connection with the notice published by NCIP Provincial Officer, Mr. Roldan Parangue, in the two issues of Palawan Times informing the public of the processing of the Certificate of Ancestral Domain Title of the alleged indigenous peoples inside the Calauit Game Preserve and Wildlife Sanctuary, the PCSDS Executive Director reported to the Council that this notice has emboldened the illegal occupants to continuously destroy the environment of the Sanctuary;

WHEREAS, the PCSDS personnel in the area could no longer contain the aggressive behavior of the intruding occupants, who have occupied even the inner portion of the Sanctuary;

WHEREAS, such actuation of the occupants constitute aggression that requires the assistance of military personnel in order to secure the area and protect the same from further degradation;

WHEREFORE, upon the unanimous action of the members present, the Council RESOLVES as it is hereby RESOLVED to request, as hereby it is requested, the WESTERN COMMAND to assign AFP personnel in Calauit Game Preserve and Wildlife Sanctuary to secure the area.

RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this resolution be furnished the WESTERN COMMAND for their information and appropriate action.
