LIST OF REQUIREMENTS FOR EVALUATION OF SEP CLEARANCE APPLICATIONS
BUILDINGS AND OTHER STRUCTURES
a. Hotels/Condominiums/Apartelles
b. Commercial (Business Centers with residential units (mixed-use),
malls,supermarkets)
1. EIS: >= 25,000 square meters (gross/total floor area including
parking and other areas)
IEE: >= 10,000 square meters (gross/total
floor area including parking and other areas)
CNC: < 10,000 square meters (gross/total
floor area including parking and other areas)
or kiosk-type or mobile fastfoods
c. Commercial (office spaces only)
1. EIS: >= 50,000 square meters (gross/total floor area including
parking and other areas)
IEE: >=15,000 square meters but < 50,000
sq m (gross/total floor area including parking
and other areas)
CNC: < 15,000 sq m (gross/total floor area
including parking and other areas).
d. Institutional and other structures with
laboratory facilities:
IEE regardless of size or area.
e. Institutional and other related facilities: medical facilities
1. EIS: Tertiary hospitals
or medical facilities
IEE: Secondary or primary hospitals
or medical facilities
CNC: Clinics (out-patient, health
centers, dental clinics) including RHUs
f. Storage facilities, non-toxic/hazardous
materials
1. IEE: >= 10,000 sq m (gross/total floor area)
CNC : < 10,000 sq m (gross/total floor
area including parking and other areas)
g. Storage facilities, toxic or hazardous materials
1. EIS: >=1,000 MT capacity
IEE: < 1,000 MT capacity
CNC < 100 kg capacity
h. Subdivision and housing projects, resettlement
projects and other similar (horizontal) land development projects.
1. IEE: >= 10 hectares
IEE Checklist: <10 hectares
i. Cemetery, crematoriums
1. IEE Checklist >=5 hectares
CNC: < 5.0 hectares or funeral
parlors, crematorium, columbarium
Additional requirements to be attached to the EIS/IEE
- Location map/project site plotted on a topographic map with 1:50,000 scale
- Site
development plan noting adjacent water bodies (1:10,000 scale)
2. Proof of Status of Land and Land
Ownership/Land Claim
3. Zoning Clearance from the municipal/city
zoning officer
4. Social Acceptability Documents - Sangguniang Barangay & Sangguniang
Bayan Endorsement
- Indigenous tribal communities in case the area
falls within a certified anscestral land/domain
- Sangguniang Panlalawigan
5. In case of renewal and expansion, environmental accounting of previous
